EDUCATION

R³M will develop, deliver and maintain a graduate degree program in Operations Management with a focus in Risk, Reliability and Quality Management to be offered through the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas. The current goal is to begin offering classes for this program in the 2009-2010 academic year.

R³M will develop and operate a scholarship and fellowship program for undergraduate and graduate students conducting research in areas consistent with the mission and vision of the Alliance. Students receiving scholarships and fellowships will participate in the R³M activities held as part of the International Applied Reliability Symposium North America. The current goal is to initiate this program in the 2009-2010 academic year.

RESEARCH

	R³M will solicit proposals for and award small grants for Faculty Associates conducting research in areas consistent with the mission and vision of the Alliance. Faculty receiving grants will participate in the R³M activities held as part of the International Applied Reliability Symposium North America. The current goal is to initiate this program in the 2009-2010 academic year.
	R³M will facilitate the development of funded research partnerships between Sponsoring Industrial Organizations and Faculty Associates. These partnerships will be highlighted during the R³M activities held as part of the International Applied Reliability Symposium North America. These partnerships can begin to develop as soon as possible.
	R³M will manage and publish a new journal Risk, Reliability and Maintainability. This journal will be devoted to applied research in areas consistent with the mission and vision of the Alliance. The current goal is to begin soliciting articles in August, 2008, and to publish the first issue in January, 2009. Faculty Associates will serve on the Editorial Board.
